Nothing Stable in Human Affairs

Hello, blog. I abandoned you for a month. In fact, I abandoned most of life for a month. I watched everything on HBO GO, wore pants with elastic waists, and acquired whichever health condition stems from diet cream soda overdose. I gave in to the anxiety and minor depression that comes with being laid off, living again with parents, and wanting so very much to move forward, metaphorically and geographically. All of this made posts of pretty clothes, pretty rooms, and pretty people seem pretty silly.
Well, screw that. I’m awesome, which is now extra true because I’ve broadcast it on the Internet. Thank you for dealing with the pity party to which you’ve just been subjected. I hope you’ll understand, I’m still not 100 percent back on the bandwagon. But we might as well look at some adorable, cheap as dirt Target sweaters between job applications.
“Remember that there is nothing stable in human affairs; therefore avoid undue elation in prosperity, or undue depression in adversity.” -Socrates
